Portorož Rose Month

Portorož will bloom in roses

On May 24th, the Portorož Rose Garden will bloom into an elegant rose-themed lounge, offering a sensory experience of fine wines, live music, and coastal charm.

At Roses & Rosé, you will sip on exquisite rosé wines and sparkling rosés from 12 renowned wineries—each glass a celebration of summer's elegance. While rosés are known for their light and delicate nature, many will surprise you with their complexity, making them perfect as a refreshing aperitif or a graceful companion to a variety of dishes.

To complement the wines, you can indulge in carefully curated Istrian bites, delight in the local dessert specialty Š’torta, and cool off with fresh fruit drinks infused with rose essence.

A highlight of the evening will be the ceremonial planting of the iconic Portorož Rose in the Garden of Fame, led by Mr. Andrej Korenika, Mayor of Piran.

For those enchanted by the event, there’s a chance to take home a piece of it—exclusive Portorož rose seedlings, known for their vibrant orange blooms, will be available for purchase.

Adding to the ambiance, live performances by Nuška Drašček, Tomi Purich, and Maja Keuc – Amaya will provide a captivating soundtrack to a day of elegance, flavor, and fragrance by the sea.
